Jeta Amata’s new movie ‘Black November‘ has been widely acclaimed as Nigerian’s best movie ever and is currently showing in LA and NY Theaters, iTunes, Amazon, and can also be viewed via Video On-Demand (VOD) on all TV cables and Satellite across North America. The movie is also being distributed by E-One Entertainment and they are doing an excellent job with the promo, which has given the movie the highest visibility you can think of in the United States.
Nollywood’s famed film director, Jeta Amata grew up in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria and titled this film “Black November”, which was the month local environmental activist Ken Saro-Wiwa was killed, and whose experiences inspired the production of this movie. Amata had a previous interview which was aired on CNN Africa during which he discussed with Isha Sesay a major goal of producing the movie which was aimed at showcasing to the viewers the experiences the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria went through over the last few decades.
“We want the world to stand with us,” he says. “We are not trying to fight the government, trying to fight the oil companies, no — we are trying to repair what has been damaged,” says Amata. “We can change the Niger Delta of Nigeria.”
