Stanislas Wawrinka won the 2nd Grand Slam title of his career in four sets, surprisingly beating Novak Djokovic 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in the Men’s French Open Final. Now, Djokovic’s career Grand Slam will have to wait at least another year for a possibility of claiming the title!
Despite knocking off nine-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal in this year’s quarterfinal, the world No. 1 was upset by eighth-seed Wawrinka in the men’s final at Roland Garros on Sunday.
Fans at Roland Garros were treated to three hours and 12 minutes of fast-paced, hard-hitting tennis featuring great shots and minimal errors in a back-and-forth match that was off the charts in terms of entertainment value.
