25-year-old Michael Walsh, was hit and killed by a snowplow vehicle in Torrington, Connecticut while he was jogging. The unlucky man, was allegedly wearing headphones when he suddenly stepped out into the street. The driver of the plow, immediately called 911 and the man was rushed to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, but he was unfortunately declared dead a short while after.
Walsh, who was said to be a quite experienced runner was possibly hit by the plow when he was trying to avoid a puddle or debris on the sidewalk that was covered in snow. The accident happened at about 5 a.m. on Sunday when Walsh was running along South Main St, as WFSB and FOX reported. Police have launched an investigation and said that the city truck did not have its plow down at the time of the tragic accident, while the truck driver was questioned by the officers, shortly after he was precautiously taken to hospital. However, no charges have yet been filed.
