Two years after the referenced interview with Stella Damasus, Thisday Newspaper released the same interview word for word, re-branded it, and claimed it as their own without giving proper credit to Golden Icons. This is basically stealing intellectual property of the hard working staff at Golden Icons Inc. and misleading the public and fans of Stella Damasus to claim that this is an Interview that she granted.
As stated on your website under “About us” –
“The newspaper is a public trust dedicated to the pursuit of truth and reason covering a range of issues from breaking news to politics, business, the markets, the arts, sports and community to the crossroads of people and society.”
This action by Thisday is considered as plagiarism and not in line with what they claim on their website as Truth and Reason. This action violates common journalism practice, and it speaks of lack of integrity and professionalism. This Interview may have been public knowledge, but like all academic work, all sources must be cited.
