A horrible tale of infanticide occurred at Ebonyi a few days ago where a mother ‘ Ugochukwu Otu‘ strangled her barely one day old infant to death. As reported by Sun, she was frustrated that the man who impregnated her disowned the baby and denied the baby girl was his. Coupled with the dilemma that she can always opt for an independent life without the burden of a child, she decided to kill the baby by strangling her.
The 25 years old woman confessed of this deadly act and has been taken into police custody. The police has also issued a statement that she will be charged as soon as possible for the crime.
