Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip marries his sweetheart, a commoner and model who has once posed topless in a men’s magazine, in a royal wedding ceremony in the Royal Palace of Stockholm, BBC News reports. The Prince who is third in line to the throne after his elder sister Princess Victoria and her daughter Princess Estelle, married the 30 year old Sofia Hellqvist who also appeared in a 2014 TV reality show ‘Paradise Hotel’ where the participants of the show were scantily clad. In 2004, she appeared topless as a model in a men’s magazine clutching a boa constrictor to cover her upper essentials.
Beside her high profile in front of the camera, she was active in charity, co-founding a charity in 2010 called ‘Project Playground Charity’ which help underprivileged children in South Africa. According to BBC News, she was also active in many other charitable deeds in Africa.
The new Princess to the Swedish Royal household told the Swedish media she has no regrets about what she did in the past and has put the past behind her and if given a choice now, she would never have chosen the path she took years ago.
“I don’t regret anything. All these experiences have made me the person I am,” Ms Hellqvist said. “I wouldn’t have made those choices today,” she added.
