The President has his other Twitter account under ‘organizing for action’ – @ barrack obama – which was created in 2007 at the time he was an Illinois Senator running for the Presidency. Under that account, tweets featuring “-bo” are the only ones coming from the man himself.
According to Politico, the account garnered 120,000 followers within the first half hour after it was hooked up in cybersphere. The report also revealed that Barrack Obama would not be keeping his personal social media accounts for long as he will have to pass this on to the next administration once he leaves office in January, 2017.
His new handle, @POTUS, carries a bio that describes him as “Dad, husband, and 44th President of the United States.”
His former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton caused a stir early this year when it was revealed that she used her personal e-mail while in office and did not handover her e-mail account after she left office, prompting a brief ruckus in Congress for the breach of protocol, GOP.com reports.
The ruckus has lost steam on Capitol hill for some time and the matter is now being renewed as a hatchet against her by the Congressional Republican leaders, probably due to her declaration to join the Presidential race.
