Several Nigerians have embanked on what is now referred to as “political trekking” since Hamisu Abubakar successfully completed the walk from Lagos to Abuja, which he vowed to take up if Gen. Muhammadu Buhari wins the presidential elections. Not only did the 33-year-old make good his promise, he also met with Gen Buhari in Abuja, (click here if you missed it), amid a warm welcome from the jubilating crowd. Now, Nollywood super star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde recently took to Twitter to voice her opinion about those engaging in the new wave of political trekking in NIgeria. She described the exercise as one of misplaced priority, while asking why the youths are not using the opportunity to create awareness for better plights.
Silly youths trekking their futures way. You don’t trek to bring awareness to your suffering plights but trek to celebrate politicians?Smh!
