ISIS militants in Libya reportedly shot and beheaded a group of captive Ethiopian Christians, as revealed in a 29-minute video by the extremists on Sunday, CNN reports. This recent attack widens the circle of nations where the group’s impact is being felt beyond a self-declared caliphate in Syria and Iraq.
The video started with what it’s called a history of Christian-Muslim relations that was followed by several scenes of militants destroying churches, graves and icons. A masked fighter also delivered a long statement, saying Christians must convert to Islam or they’ll have to pay a special tax prescribed by the Quran.
