A recent investigation by Associated Press revealed that Bill Cosby admitted to purchasing drugs with the aim to use it to have sex with women (click here if you missed it). Since then, several supporters of Cosby have left his camp and are now stating their disappointment and sadness.
However, one person remains fully supportive of Cosby, and that is Oscar winner and comedian, Whoopi Goldberg, NY Daily News reports.
In a comment she made on ABC’s “The view”, she said:
“You are still innocent until proven guilty. As more information comes out, people can make judgments. I don’t like snap judgments. She further stated that “He has not been proven a rapist. Save your texts; save your nasty comments. I don’t care. I say this because this is my opinion.”
It is indeed her opinion, and she is really standing by it.
Among the previous supporters of Cosby was Singer Jill Scott, who felt the most betrayed. In the previous years, she had been defending Cosby and add accused others of trying to spoil the reputation of the star despite criticisms against her. She said she was “completely disgusted” by the revelations. She further tweeted
“I stood by a man I respected and loved. I was wrong. It HURTS!!!”
“Sadly his own testimony offers PROOF of terrible deeds, which is ALL I have ever required to believe the accusations,” Scott wrote.
She then concluded by tweeting that she was not sorry for standing by her mentor rather she was sorry the accusations were true.
