In the wake of several sexual allegations against the comedic icon, Bill Cosby, Netflix has postponed the launching of the Cosby Special while NBC also cancelled next year’s airing of the Bill Cosby’s stand-up comedy, “Bill Cosby 77” according to a fox news report. TV-land also dropped the re-run of the Cosby Show. The whole series of accusations saddens so many who have revered Cosby as the ultimate american dad based on his role as “Cliff Huxtable” in “The Cosby Show”. The world awaits in rapt attention on how these accusations will eventually play out, but the question is – would Cosby ever redeem his currently tarnished image? The immediate reaction is No! Most people say the american’s favorite fatherly icon’s career has ended and there will be no come back.
Cosby is yet to personally comment on these allegations however his lawyer released a statement earlier on Cosby’s website and writes:
“Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment. He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work. There will be no further statement from Mr. Cosby or any of his representatives.” – John P. Schmitt, lawyer for Bill Cosby”.
