According to NBC Chicago, a Niles man found the body of his mother-in-law while shoveling snow by her sidewalk according to police reports. The police in the area had received a 911 call on Monday and upon getting to the residence found Elizabeth A. Lutz laying face down in the pile of snow.
Attempts to get a response from the the 55-year-old woman by applying CPR was unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital she was taken to.
The late woman’s son-in-law said he had gone to help Lutz shovel snow and upon getting there noticed something which looked like a garbage bag, and it was not until he had shoveled for about 40 mins that he realized it was his mother-in-law’s dead body!
Currently, the police does not believe foul play was involved but autopsy and toxicology reports are however still pending.
