The menace of movie piracy in Nigeria is not a new thing! AY Makun had previously lamented about his successful ‘30 Days in Atlanta‘ movie being pirated, (click here if you missed it) and recently, acclaimed Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan blamed the Igbos for the widespread piracy in Nigeria.
The multiple-award Filmmaker has since apologized for blaming Igbos as being majorly responsible for selling pirated CDs and DVDs in Nigeria, which comes after his Twitter fans criticized him for making those remarks over the weekend.
He has since tweeted back explaining his stance to the public and offering an apology for the remarks.
