NBA legend who was once was voted the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), Kareem Abdul Jabbar has decided to reveal a truth about himself in the wake of Rachel Dolezal’s racial identity saga saying that he has also lived with a lie for many years – he was actually 5′ 8″ tall instead of the well publicized height of 7′ 2″ when he was an active NBA player, according to TMZ in a recent Time article where he said:
“I’ve decided to come out with the truth. I am not tall (#shortstuff).” Abdul-Jabbar added, “Although I’ve been claiming to be 7’2″ for many decades, the truth is that I’m 5’8”
Kareem also requested members of the public to be less judgmental on a white lie citing that he decided to tell the truth of his actual height despite living a lie for decades, taking inspiration from Rachel Dolezal and even Caitlyn Jenner.
The NBA legend further said that Rachel Dolezal should be credited for her service to the black community and a person should not be judged on a white lie when it harms nobody or hurts no feeling. He even went on to reference former President Bill Clinton who told a famous lie before the world audience in 1998 while wagging his finger saying he never had sex with that woman, but was outed a few months later by a DNA test.
