Earlier in the week, we brought you the news that Sue Ann Arnall, the ex-wife of oil tycoon “Harold Hamm” who is currently involved in a messy divorce with Hamm rejected a divorce settlement check of approximately $975 million because she believes she should be getting more from the divorce since she helped her billionaire ex-husband build his wealth and amass his current fortune. However, later in the week, Hamm’s attorney, Craig L. Box, confirmed to CNN that the check has now been deposited and Sue Ann Arnall has cashed her huge divorce check after a claim earlier this week that the settlement was not enough.
Hamm who is the Chief Executive Officer of Continental Resources built the company from nothing to where it is today before taking the lead in the development of North Dakota’s Bakken oil field.
The couple were also married for 26 years and both have two children together. The had no prenuptial agreement together and Hamm has an estimated $19 billion net worth that may have declined as a result of falling oil prices.
