The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose sent a bombshell to the journalist present in an interview in Abuja, when he said that the Presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s recent pictures in London were all concocted and not true, as reported by Pulse. This comes after the APC Campaign team asked Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan to call Fayose to order for hiring people to stalk Buhari. Click here if you missed it!
“The picture which was widely published in front page of the nation’s media, was taken in suite 881 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja,” Fayose said. He further said that Gen. Buhari is currently receiving treatment in London and the Presidential candidate his hiding about the true state of his health from the public.
“Buhari is on the sick bed at Cavendish Square, London. They should come out and say so. I am not wishing him dead but we have a duty to always speak the truth. The APC have been trying to cover it up by not allowing him travel out but the man knows he is sick and so, he decided to go for medical check. But my argument is that General Buhari is old, even to govern a state. Governing this country needs energy and strength. We don’t want a president that will be inside the house and other people will hijack that government from him and start governing Nigeria as if it is their personal property,” he added.
“They will need to educate the people to read between the lines. I am not against General Buhari, there must be a leader at a given time, but the fact remains that he is frail and not strong enough to run the affairs of this country,” the governor added.
The Governor reiterated that he has nothing personal against the Presidential candidate but stated that Buhari should not govern the country in his present state of poor health.
