Steve Harvey, host of popular TV Show ‘Family Feud‘ and his wife Marjorie celebrated his 58th birthday over the weekend in a yacht cruising around Miami, Florida.
The Harvey’s sure know how to celebrate their birthdays as you’ll recall when Majorie Harvey celebrated her 50th birthday last year October, her hubby presented her with a Rolls Royce birthday gift.
In addition to cruising on the yacht, Majorie surprised Steve by having Steve’s children show up to share their most special moments with their dad and also share memories that brought tears to the famous TV host’s eyes. Steve who is also a lover of cigars had his birthday cake designed with that touch and he tweeted, “The big day continues. Walked in the kitchen this morning and this cake was waiting on me ….. I’ve got a great soulmate and a great family.”
We see all the glitz and glamour with the Harvey’s today but according to the Comedian, it’s been a long road to success for him. Harvey who said he had always had the gift to make people laugh, grew up as a poor kid in Cleveland, Ohio. His father was Jesse Harvey, a manual laborer, while his mother was a homemaker. He however told CBS that he credits his parents for much of his success. “My father’s one single role was to talk to me about manhood,” Harvey said. “You work hard. You don’t be lazy. My mother was a Sunday School teacher for 40 years. She taught me about God and faith and prayer. That combination has gotten me to where I am today, and I don’t doubt that for one minute.”
