It seems that the two titans in Tennis championship will have their paths cross and clash again in the Australia Open finals. Serena Williams beats American Madison Keys in the Australia Open on Thursday, 29th January, and thereby proceeds to the finals. Her arch-rival, Maria Sharapova had earlier beat Ekaterina Makarova, AFT reports, and hence, setting her path to intersect with Williams on Sunday’s match.
The two world most famous tennis players have been locked in a titanic clash in the past but Williams may have a psychological advantage based on the record of 16 – 2 against Sharapova. The odds are kind of stacked against Sharapova. On Thursday’s match against Keys, the young American had given Williams a good run for her crown by tie-breaking in the initial game and only concede to the veteran in a narrow margin of 7-6 (7/5), 6-2.
