The news of the Grand Jury’s decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for the murder of an unarmed american teenager, Micheal Brown, was indeed received with dismay and sadness by the country and has sparked a lot of protests not only in Ferguson but also several other cities in the United States.
As the situation in Ferguson continues to heat up following the verdict of the Grand Jury not to indict Officer Wilson for the murder of Brown, so have several notable American celebrities like Chris Rock, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Rihanna, Kate Perry, Gabrielle Union, Dwayne Wade, Pharrell and a lot more taken to social media to voice their opinions and talk about their views regarding this murder case.
Most of the stars that tweeted about the case used this medium to send their sympathy to Brown’s family, pray for an equal America, vent about injustice not being served in this case and comment on finding a way to stop the unnecessary loss of black young men. The outpour of emotions following the announcement is not just because of the tragic loss of Brown’s life but the underlying race issue the masses have brought to light in the handling of this case and the perceived notion that justice was not served.
