As we reported a few days ago, AirAsia Flight 8501 went missing Sunday morning local time after the passenger jet took off from Surabaya, which is the second largest city in Indonesia. 162 people were onboard the Airbus 320-200 (155 passengers) and 7 crew member, most of them Indonesians.

As footage of the wreckage and body were aired on televisions at the airport in Surabaya, the family members waiting and hoping for the best screamed and broke down in tears, AP reported. It was also reported that several people collapsed after hearing the news.
