Singer Angie Stone was recently charged with aggravated assault after she hit her 30-year-old daughter in the face with a metal stand during an altercation on Monday, according to the DeKalb County Police incident report obtained by E! News. According to the report, Diamond Stone said that the fight started when her mom ordered her to get her two children under control, which started as an argument and then led to a physical altercation.
The daughter of the 53-year-old R&B artist told police that her mom didn’t realize she had hit her daughter with the stand “and once she realized this she quickly put the stand down and attempted to get away from Ms. Diamond Stone.” Both women were taken into custody and questioned, while Diamond was released and Stone was charged with domestic aggravated assault.
According to TMZ, the 3-time Grammy nominee said her daughter punched her in the face and while defending herself with a metal stand, accidentally hit Diamond in the face which then led to her front teeth being knocked out.
