The current reigning female footballer of the year in Africa, Asisat Lamina Oshoala signed on with Liverpool football club on Friday, 23rd January. The Liverpool female club has its own followings among its fan base and Oshoala represents the first female from Africa to be signed on to the club.
Asisat, who is currently 20 years old and hails from Nigeria scored the most goals at the 2014 FIFA Under 20 Women World Cup. She was also the top scorer for “Super Falcons” team who won the 2014 African championship. Oshoala represents a the pride to Nigerians and the Africa continent by making it to the prestigious Liverpool Club.
