According to recent reports, President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Friday met behind closed doors in a “private” meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan inside Aso Villa in Abuja. Details of their discussion is yet to be made available, but it’s speculated to be in connection with the transition committee the two leaders will be putting together in the nearest future.
This happens to be the first time the two leaders would be meeting since the results of the presidential election was announced by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declaring Gen. Buhari the winner of the March 28 presidential election.
“So, you’d find time to come one of these days so that we can sort out how to plan the transition period,” Pres. Jonathan told the President-elect on the historic telephone discussion conversation made by GEJ to congratulate Gen. Buhari. Click here if you missed it!
