At least 17 ISIS militants and nine civilians were killed in a coalition air strike in Iraq after 220 Christians were abducted by members of the so-called Islamic State, according to The Independent. Since February 21 when the military alliance between Syrian Kurds and the US was strengthened, about 132 Isis fighters have been killed.
The UN Security Council on Wednesday said the abduction of these Syrian Christians is “strongly condemned” and demanded the immediate release of those kidnapped by Isis and similar groups. Less than 2 weeks ago, Isis released a video showing the brutal beheading of 21 Coptic Christians in Libya. Click here if you missed it!
