Yinka Davies will return to Nigerian Idol as judge for the season 5 series. This was revealed at a press conference held at Mela Rossa for the official launch of season 5. The season 4 judge, Nneka will not be coming back for this upcoming season and will be replaced by Yinke Davies who was the judge for the earlier 3 episodes.
The season 5 judges will be Darey Art-Alade, Yinka Davies and Dede Mabiaku. It was also unveiled at the press conference the prizes for the winner will be N7.5 million with a Samsung Galaxy Tab Phone, ipod and a brand new SUV. The winner will also get a recording deal with Universal Music for one year.
The 1st runner will receive N1.5 million with Samsung Galaxy Tab Phone and ipod. The 2nd runner-up will get N1 million, Samsung Galaxy Tab Phone plus ipod. Other finalists will receive N100,000, Samsung Galaxy Tab Phone plus ipod.
