Ed Sheeran just added some new ink to his already impressive tattoo collection.

The singer shared an Instagram photo on Tuesday showing off his epic new chest piece: a massive lion tattoo.

The singer captioned the pic, “Halfway and ouch,” leading us to believe there’s still plenty of work left to be done on the colorful tat. Ouch is right.

But what could it mean? Is Ed just a huge “Lion King” fan? Does he think of himself as the king of the music jungle? Is it some sort of BFF ink with Cara Delevingne? (He already has ink dedicated to Taylor Swift, so it wouldn’t be too hard to believe.)? Did he do it to impress his rumored girlfriend, Nicole Scherzinger? Maybe he just really likes lions, which is cool, we guess.

Whatever the meaning – if any at all – the tattoo will be right at home with the other animals (a lizard and a teddy bear, just to name a couple) covering Ed’s body.
