Rihanna’s yellow dress at the MET Gala 2015 is indeed the most eyebrow raising and jaw dropping one due to its majestic nature and how it was portrayed on the red carpet. The yellow outfit indeed does resemble what a Chinese Empress will wear at the imperial court in ancient China and bears all the hallmark of Monarchy, in terms of size and the amount of fiber involved.
When asked by Leon Talley about her ‘majestic’ yellow dress, Rihanna explained that it was handmade by a Chinese lady and it took her two years to make, as reported by Vogue.
Two years to make a dress is indeed a very expensive labor by any measure, but then, it’s for Rihanna!
