This is just touching and amazing, as a teenage acts in a manner that was necessary to save a blind kind from being bullied by another teenager at Huntington Beach High School in California during their lunch break. The video was posted Wednesday to YouTube. It shows a boy punching another boy, who has his hands up in defense around his face but is not returning hits. The Daily News reports the boy being attacked is blind.
It looks like the attacker was winding up to throw another punch when a third teen knocks him to the ground. He then walks over to the blind teen and asks, “Are you OK, Austin?”. The bully can be seen bleeding from his face as he is helped up by other classmates. The violent episode has many hailing the boy who came to the defense of his blind classmate as a hero. District officials said they are investigating the incident and have a zero-tolerance policy about bullying.
“Huntington Beach High School firmly believes that all students are afforded an opportunity to learn in a safe and secure environment. Because of this, safety is the highest priority,” the school district said in a statement provided to the Daily News. “Huntington Beach High School has a very strong anti-bullying code of conduct and will not condone this type of behavior from any student.”
“Are you trying to f*cking jump a blind kid, bro?” the student asks the attacker as he’s lying on the ground. He then warns him if he tries it again, “I will f*ck you up.”
