D’Banj recently had a great performance with the CEO Dancers, as he represented Africa at the Global Citizens Earth Day concert, an event organized by the World bank. The event was focused on eradicating gender inequality, and Dbanj performed 2 yet-to-be released songs: KOLEYEWON and SEXTRAORDINARY, while also performing global hits ‘Top of the World’ and ‘Oliver Twist’. ‘Extraordinary’ is dedicated to women’s empowerment and gender equality, D’Banj says:
“I believe we can have a world free from poverty, but to do so we must tackle the root causes and start addressing key issues like gender equality and agriculture,” he says.
“In order to eradicate poverty, you have to have equality. What’s good for he, is good for she.”
This new video below shows D’banj performing the Extraordinary single to an overwhelming number of people, in a crowd of over 250,000 in support of the End Poverty campaign. Cameos from Usher, Common, Will.i.am, Chris Martin, and Fally Ipupa were also featured as well.
