Most people that grew up in Africa would be used to the adage that infers that if you throw a stone at someone, it may just come back right to hit you. In this video, a would-be thief in Ireland attempted to break into a car by throwing a brick into the vehicle’s window, but surprisingly, the brick bounced back and knocked the man unconscious, which was later shown on CCTV video obtained by the Irish Independent shows.
Gerry Brady, the owner of the nearby pub and the car that defended itself, came out to investigate what was going on and saw the man lying in a pool of his own blood, who then tried to blackmail Brady.
“When the Gardaí picked him up, he started claiming that I attacked him. He was still telling them that in the station when I came in with the footage of him getting knocked out by his own brick.”
“You should have heard the garda laughing when they saw the video. They were in stitches. Credit to them, they were straight out when we called and found the guy within minutes.”
But, the learning point here is no matter how smart we think we are as humans, if you throw a stone at someone or an object, you may indirectly be setting yourself up for danger!
