John Helinski was living as a homeless man in the streets of Tampa, Florida, broke and without any money for sustenance. He was a victim of identity theft, a growing phenomena in many countries.
Now an officer from the Tampa Police Department helped him to recover his ID and he is no longer a homeless man. Since he lost his ID, the social security benefits have been accruing in his bank account. He is reportedly now able to pay for basic necessities such as a shelter over his head and food, according to Time.
