The 14-year-old transgender teen ‘Jazz Jennings’ recently revealed that she will be one of the new faces of Clean & Clear’s “See The Real Me” ad campaign. This is an ad that uses the #SeeTheRealMe hashtag to ask people to share their personal stories via social media in a bid to promote natural beauty, according to Huffington Post.
“I feel really honored to be part of The #seetherealme campaign. It’s really amazing, as it helps many teen girls who are struggling. It helps them to find themselves and be true to who they are. I hope they can learn to be brave and not care what other people think about them, because if they just stay positive and spread love, then others will be true friends who will accept them no matter what.”
Jennings, who was born as a male at birth began identifying himself as a female shortly after. She has made huge efforts to bring attention to the transgender community through appearances at numerous talk shows, and also as a co-author of a children’s book about being a transgender. In 2014, she was also named one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential teens.
