Amobi has a rare story but has laid his foundation primarily on education. His educational triumph secured him a scholarship to Harvard at the age of twelve, which he turned down to attend the University of Louisville for the best of both worlds: education and football. With the hopes of becoming a doctor, he seized the opportunity to participate in the NFL at the age of nineteen. Amobi Okoye continues to make strides on and off the field. However, it is his off the field activity that is gaining world-wide recognition.
