The concert will be held at the Houston Arena Theater, 7326 Southwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77074. On Friday, April 2nd 2010, The African community from across Texas, will come together to celebrate African music in Houston. An event billed to be the best ever will include award winning artist Timaya, the sensational musical duo Bracket and Houston’s Reggae artist Popasay, and hosted by the African King of Comedy himself, Micheal Blackson. The event will include a Black Carpet media coverage, during which celebrities will be interviewed and pictures taken with their fans, high energetic dancers choreographed by the famous choreographer Bisi Odunbaku, music provided by two of Houston’s finest Deejays, Deejay ObiPro and Dj SL. Hospitals for Humanity, a non profit organization designed to provide quality and affordable health care to people in dire need, will be recognized for their exceptional work in providing timely medical aid to the people of Haiti during the recent crisis in Haiti.
