In what appeared to be inspired by the recent march in the streets of Paris where over one million people took part to protest the terrorist killings at Charlie Hebdo, click here if you missed it, Several Nigerians also stepped out en mass on Saturday to show their public support for our troops fighting against the Boko Haram menace.
The participants were seen holding banners in support of the troops and urging the rest of the citizens to do the same via social media outlets such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and others, which was clearly written on the banners.
A day ago, a similar public show of unity against the threat of Boko Haram was similarly played out on the streets of Cameroon and thousands of participants took part as well. At the event in Abuja, General Olukolade of the Nigerian army was seen addressing the crowd and he expressed gratitude for the public show of support and unity against the terrorist menace.
