After leaving the tropical Caribbean islands and the beaches of St. Barts a few days ago (click here of you missed it!), Rihanna was afterwards spotted in New York City. The popstar attended a boxing match at the Madison Square Garden on January 9th that was promoted by her good friend and “mentor” Jay-Z. But the big news was that she was sitting in the front row with Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal!
The pair seemed to have a great time together as they watched the match, also hanging out with Jay Z and watching a special half-time performance by Fabulous. Earlier that day, RiRi was seen leaving luxurious hotel “Mondrian SoHo” in a gorgeous, vintage full length and fur-lined suede trench.
Apart from attending the “Roc Nation Sports Presents: Throne Boxing at The Theater”, the beautiful singer also posted a pic with Jay-Z on her Instagram account, while the latter’s wife Beyoncé unfortunately could not be in attendance.

As for the movie star, Jake Gyllenhaal, he is expected to be heading back to Los Angeles for the Golden Globes Awards as he is nominated for Best Actor for his role in “Nightcrawler”.
