The recent arrest and sentencing to jail of Jackie Chan’s son Jaycee in Beijing for narcotic offense (click here if you missed it), has bought back memories of another greater father-son Chinese Kung-Fu legend that captured the imaginations of the East and West for many years.
Many people may not know that there was an even greater father-son martial art actors that preceded the Hong kong cum Hollywood martial art actor Jackie Chan and Jaycee. Brandon Lee, the Eurasian son of legendary Kung Fu actor, Bruce Lee who died in 1973, was an action flick actor himself and was at the threshold of a staler Hollywood career ahead of him when he was killed in an accident while working on the action packed movie ‘The Crow‘ in Wilmington, N.C. in 1993. He was 28 years old then. The simulated explosive device had punctured his abdomen and he died without gaining consciousness. Hollywood and Hong Kong had lost a promising action packed actor that has a name in his pedigree.
Both father and son now rest in peace at their grave in Seattle, Washington State. Their gravestones have also become a shrine to many Kung-Fu fans around the world.
