Princess Charlotte, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and fourth to the throne of England was christened at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Queen’s Sandringham estate, according to CNN. The princess was reportedly baptized with holy water from the River Jordan, which is the place where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.
It was also reported that the princess was dressed in the same elaborate replica christening gown worn by George and other children in the Royal Family.
The royal princess sure has a lot of people to dote on her as her parents selected five close friends of theirs to serve as her godparents. They include William’s cousin Laura Fellowes, Kate’s cousin Adam Middleton, Sophie Carter, James Meade and Thomas van Straubenzee.
It was also reported that she also joined the league of princesses to be christened at the church. William’s late mother, Princess Diana, was christened there, as was William’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, the Duchess of York. It is the church the Royal Family attends every Christmas Day.
The princess has been christened Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
