The much awaited visit of the The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the United States is finally here. The couple will be travelling to New York from Sunday through Tuesday and will be making a day trip to Washington during which they will meet with Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden at the White House.
According to AFP, Prince William will meet with President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday during his first visit to the US capital. Prince William will also be speaking at the World Bank about efforts to fight illegal wildlife trafficking, a work the President welcomes and admires. According to White House spokesman Josh Earnest, “The president welcomes the prince’s work in this global fight against what is both a national security threat and a devastating environmental problem”.
This visit further brings to light the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.”
