According to reports from London Times, President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe may be priming his 24-year-old daughter as his successor as she’s been seen attending recent government meetings with him.
The report alleged that the position she’s been permanently holding at these meetings has been one that the vice-president would normally have. The 91-year-old president, who is in poor health, had previously elevated his wife, 49, to a senior position within his party and was initially speculated to be his successor. However, she’s been going through a serious illness of late and hopes of having her as a feasible successor began to douse, hence, the president may now be turning to his daughter to take over the reigns.
