An international group of observers comprising of many representatives from different countries were welcome by President Goodluck Jonathan at the State House. The observers are to play an observation role at the general elections scheduled to take place this Saturday, 28th March and to ensure the democratic process is carried out fairly and objectively as dictated by the electorates.
The President had some interactive session with the group and got acquainted with many of them. The observers also took a group photograph with the President and are expected to be stationed at various polling stations to perform their observation role without interfering with the internal tallying process, which is dictated by the election commission.
