Popular Nollywood actor, model, and TV host, Uti Nwachukwu has taken to Social Media to encourage fellow Lagosians and his Igbo brothers not to be distracted about the threat statements made by the Oba Akinolu of Lagos State, (click here if you missed it).
The one time Big Brother Africa (BBA) Winner stated that the most important thing is that the Lagos state gubernatorial candidate, Akinwumi Ambode and APC leaders have rebuked the controversial threat statements made by the Oba, and the people should still vote for Ambode whose love for Lagos is deeply ingrained in his heart.
Uti’s Facebook message reads:
“I’m in shock and awe over the statements uttered by the highly respected Oba of Lagos…Na wah o! But thank God for wisdom maturity and a Loving Mind. My only reaction to that Ludicrous statement is this- SMH SMH SMH!! And it ends there!! I won’t give attention to such at this age and time! Thankfully in the audio Clip of the Oba’s statement you will hear him say Asiwaju and Gov Fashola should plead with the Ndigbo Community!! Thus it is obvious that neither the party nor Mr AMBODE sanctioned him to make such a statement!!
We have come too far to allow sensitive things like tribalism And discrimination of any sort to derail and distract us! THIS IS NOT A TRIBAL WAR AS LAGOS STATE IS TOO COSMOPOLITAN TO TAKE SIDES!! Thank God Mr Akinwunmi AMBODE clearly said this thereby distancing himself from such sentiments!!
In View of this, it would be appalling to allow these statement shift our attention away from A man who clearly has the best interest of Lagos at heart!
