Sometimes, losing a title to a fellow contender may be a good thing which is the case with Tayo Faniran, Nigeria’s representative at the recently concluded Big Brother Africa (BBA) who is probably smiling now with the overwhelming support he is receiving from fellow Nigerians.
The showering of gifts to Tayo as reported by news media continue to increase by the day. It was initially reported that Ayiri Emami, self-made Warri Billionaire promised Tayo $350,000; an amount greater than the prize won by Tanzanian Housemate, Idris. Shortly after, it was also reported that Malivelihood created a customized 24K gold plated iPhone specially inscribed with “Tayo. F.” and finally Desmond Elliot, APC Primary Winner for the Lagos State House of Assembly election in 2015, will also be giving Tayo N100K. All these gifts have nullified the loss, so we can categorically say congratulations to Tayo and we are all waiting to hear what the next gift will be.
