Kunle Afolayan, O.C Ukeje, Kehinde Bankole and Steve Gukas emerged as winners of the Amstel Malta four million naira cash prize at the recently concluded Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, (AMVCA) 2015 sponsored by Amstel Malta.
The actors were each rewarded with a million naira each for emerging the winner in four highly competitive categories namely: Best Overall Movie, Best Movie (Drama), Best Actor In A Drama, Best Actress In A Drama as stated below:
Best Movie 2014: Kunle Afolayan for October 1
Best Movie (Drama): Steve Gukas for A Place in the Stars
Best Actress (Drama): Kehinde Bankole
Best Actor (Drama): OC Ukeje
The Winner of the Best Overall Movie category, Kunle Afolayan said on being one of the Night’s winner:
“I’m very excited about my win especially for the fact that October1 won in various categories. The AMVCA plaque is a real honor and the cash prize from Amstel Malta makes it so much of a great news. We will keep doing our best to boost the growth of the industry in every way we can.”
