At the age of 30, he is probably one of the youngest employer of a multi-national blue chip company in the world. The company he co-founded with four others is also one of the most sought after company for any graduate seeking employment. At the recently concluded ‘Mobile World Conference‘ in Barcelona recently, the Facebook CEO gave some tips on how to get hired into his company, citing an oft-quoted phrase from his Chief Operating Officer, Sheryl Sandberg, as reported by the Telegraph.
He also said that Facebook is not a company for everyone and they are very selective in the hiring process by saying the following:
“I will only hire someone to work directly for me if I would work for that person,”
“Facebook is not a company for everyone in the world.”
He also has some advice to the management of other companies.
“The most important thing is to keep your team as small as possible. [Facebook] serves more than a billion people around the world but our team has fewer than 10,000 people.”
