NBA players are known for always rallying up around other teammates and opponents alike when injuries happen. This latest news of Derrick Rose suffering another knee injury resulting yet in another surgery, click here if you missed it, which thankfully was successful, cut particularly deep because everyone sees it as a kind of set back to Rose’s legendary career that appears to be repeatedly sidetracked.
In the wake of the news, Kevin Garnett and LeBron James were two of the top basketball players who extended their support to the Bulls point guard Derrick Rose on Friday. James also took to Twitter recently to wish Chris Bosch a speedy recovery after Blood clots were discovered in his lungs. Click here if you missed it!
James sent a get well message through Twitter and via a video done for Bleacher Report, while Garnett did the same via Chicago Tribune:
“He’s young, such a promising future and a lot of hopes for him so it’s just sad to see him have to go through injuries,” Garnett told the Chicago Tribune. “I’m just hoping he makes the best decision for himself, his family. … I want him to think about that before basketball.”
“Last night after our game, after a huge win, we got some news that Derrick Rose was having surgery again on a torn meniscus,” James said in the video below. “It was terrible news to get, man. I could never know what he’s going through mentally or try to put my feet in his shoes and tell him, ‘Listen, I know exactly what you’re going through’ because I don’t. I’ve never been in this situation before.”
