JJ Bunny’s Exclusive Interview.
GI: Congratulations on your accomplishments thus far as an Actor, as well as an Executive Producer. First and foremost, let’s talk about how you got into “acting”, and why you decided to become an Actor.
JJ Bunny: I got into acting while in grade school, where I played the birth of Jesus and also in high school where I had recited Shakespearian soliloquies in front of the class.
Getting into professional acting was not something that I deliberately planned. I was frustrated with a bad music contract that I had previously signed at that time. The contract prevented me from doing practically anything that had to do with music, so I decided to keep myself busy by acting my first movie “a woman’s mind” featuring Jim Iyke and Emeka Ike, and since then, the jobs have kept on coming. Acting is a passion for me, although my public career started from singing, it’s almost like acting is in my blood and it’s a thirst that I can’t resist. I love the fun and pleasure that is derived from acting. I enjoyed it so much that I eventually got into having my own movie production company.
GI: Do you have plans to go back into the music industry, since that’s where you started from?
JJ Bunny: Yes I do. By God’s grace, I will be returning to music recording by the end of summer
GI: What have you learned so far in the movie industry?
JJ Bunny: I have learned that this profession is not like any other, although it is what it is, it should also be driven like every other business. It’s a fun job, but it comes with a lot of dedication and hard work.
GI: Which actor do you look up to?
JJ Bunny: I will just name a few actors in Nollywood that I admire, Ramsey Nouah, Genevieve, Omotola Jalade and Stephanie okereke. In Hollywood, I admire Angelina Jolie, and Denzel Washington
GI: Which actor have you acted with in the past that had left a lasting impression?
JJ Bunny: It’s no one but Ramsey Noauh, He is an actor of all actors; He had a wealth of knowledge that he shared while shooting the movie and left a lasting impression on me .
GI: Who haven’t you worked with and will love to, in the Nollywood Industry and Why?
JJ Bunny: Geneveive – there is no other, She is just one of a kind, and that’s why ….. Maybe, I may add “Omotola”, because I think they are both very good at what they do, and we’ll be able to get along and work well with each other”
GI: Some people say that you’re the best Nollywood Actress in the U.S, what do you have to say about that?
JJ Bunny: Bode… Come on, are you serious? Well well well ….It is such a huge compliment and I am grateful to hear that from my fans. Though, I am surrounded by so many talents such as Pascal Atuma, Veeda, Rex Otuka, Debira that it is hard to believe.
