In an interview with CBS Lee Cowan, the 45-year-old actress was asked if she still keeps in touch with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt and if there is still any “pain” left, from their split a decade ago.
Jennifer Aniston responded that her wounds are totally healed now: “I don’t like it when people bring it up. But people still do, right?”. “I don’t find it painful, though”, Aniston added. The attractive star believes that everybody has moved on from this high profile divorce: “I think it’s a narrative that follows you because it’s an interesting headline. It’s more of a media-driven topic”. The already nominated actress for a SAG and Golden Globe Award for her amazing performance in “Cake”, also described what her relationship with Brad Pitt is now: “We’ve exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but not a constant thing.”
Pitt and Aniston announced publicly that they were parting ways in January 2005: “We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media”, the duo said in their statement back then. Shortly after their break up, Brad was publicly seen with his “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” co-star Angelina Jolie and have since been together with 6 kids between them. On the other part, Rachel from “Friends“, had some short-lived affairs but now seems to have finally settled and found love again, with actor Justin Theroux, with whom she is now engaged.
