Two of Hollywood’s most enduring names since the 70s and considered the ‘matriarch’ of the silver screen will be reunited in one of Netflix’s latest comedy, which centers around two women left single when their husbands came out as gay and decided to marry each other.
Jane Fonda will play ‘Grace’ while Lily Tomlin will play ‘Frankie’ and their gay husbands will be played by two of Hollywood’s equally enduring names, Martin Sheen as ‘Robert’ and Sam Waterson as ‘Sol’. Martin Sheen is considered one of the ‘patriarch’ in Hollywood having featured on the silver screen since the 70s.
The movie was created by Hollywood renowned directors, Martha Kuffman (the creator of ‘Friends’ ) and Howard J. Morris (the creator of ‘ Home Improvement’ ). The movie featured Grace and Frankie forging a bond of their own after their husbands revealed their sexuality to them at a dinner and decided to get married. Their reaction is one of shock and acceptance but they only accepted this reality after going through 7 stages of change.
The series is said to run as 13 episodes, according to Huffington Post and schedule to be premiered on Netflix on 8th May.
