This past week during the annual Offshore Technology Conference, there was a concentrated effort taking place on the sidelines to highlight the opportunities and concerns as it relates to Nigeria. The 3rd edition of the Nigeria Content Investment Forum (NCIF) held on Wednesday, May 4th at the Houstonian Hotel was content filled and nothing short of viable interests to invest in Nigeria.
The partnerships of the Nigeria Content Development & Monitoring Board, Sweetcrude Reports and the Guardian produced and delivered a platform that will play a vital role in the promotion of investments and creating partnerships for Nigeria going forward. NCIF made a signature statement during OTC and will continue to craft the platform to not only encourage and inform but to build on key relationships.
Speakers included: H.E., Governor Seriake Dickson – Bayelsa State, Councilwoman Amanda Edwards – City of Houston, Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary – NCDMB, Fubara Anga, Chairman- NCIF Advisory Board, Akin Oni – Managing Director -Bristow Helicopter Nigeria Limited Section, Brent Omdahl – Head of U.S. Commercial Services. US Embassy in Nigeria, Bank-Anthony Okoroafor – Chairman, PETAN and managers representing agencies and local Nigerian companies.
